Description
We saw these flower favors at a garden show (where they sold starting at $9.95 each) and knew they were a must for Diva Entertains. We love that these can be grown anywhere - on a counter-top, a windowsill, or any sunny spot. They grow in the leak-proof bag shown. Just plant the enclosed packet of easy-to-grow seeds in the special blend of certified organic coils and organic coconut husk drainage (already in the bag) and water. That's it!
All bags are 7" high by 6" wide. The packaging include a grommet which is perfect to tie with ribbon and/or add a favor tag! Your flower choices are:
- Mini Petunias. This selection will produce an abundance of purple-blue blooms. This long blooming plant grows to 6" tall. The seeds are pelleted (coated with an inert material to make handling easier) and will germinate in 7-10 days. Bag 7" high x 6" wide.
- French Marigold. Bright gold single-type marigold that will fill your room with sunshine. An annual plant that will grow 8-10" high presenting flowers in about ten weeks. Expect your seeds to germinate in 5-7 days.
- Snapdragons. These rose-pink clusters of flowers on sturdy stems are an old-fashioned favorite. Plentiful blossoms of long-lasting fuzzy flowers appear in 8-10 weeks. The seed is pelleted (coated with an inert material to make handling easier) and will germinate in 7-10 days.
- Chocolate Viola. Chocolate Viola. This velour frosted chocolate viola is a particularly floriferous viola with chocolate-winged petals and a bronze face. The seeds will germinate within 7 days.
- Pinks. These precious little pink flowers (Dianthus) send out waves of spicy perfume. They produce a profusion of dainty 3/4 flowers with fringed petals in vibrant pink. The foliage is a dense mat of small, narrow green leaves and delicate branching stems that grow from 6-10 high. The seeds germinate in 7-10 days. You should have blooms the first year. They will re-bloom year after year.
- Thank You (Mixed Zinnias). The small 1 to 2 inch flowers range in colors including white, pink, salmon, rose, red, yellow, orange, lavender, and purple. They bloom continually from early summer through fall until first frost.
- Forget-Me-Nots. A sweet, sentimental flower, sky-blue in color with tiny yellow centers. It forms a mound of fuzzy foliage that grows to 6 in height. When in bloom, it bears clusters of flowers that uncurl as the flower buds open. Forget-me-nots are symbolic of true love and mean "Remember me forever! The seeds germinate in 10-14 days.
You can transplant these favors to containers or gardens, however, it is not necessary.
